QVLN - Quetzal Guerrero (LA)
When he was only four, Arizona native Quetzal (Ket-sal) Guerrero picked up the violin and hasn’t put it down since. As a child and adolescent, Quetzal studied violin at the famous International Academy of the Suzuki Method, in Matsumoto, Japan, and the Conservatorio Pernambucano de Musica in Recife, Brazil.
Q’s artistry, much like his American, Mexican, and Brazilian heritage, bridges many cultures and styles. The result is music that is both familiar and fresh to the listener, offering an unassuming yet explorative convergence of genres and influences spanning American Folk, Soul, Reggae, Rock and Brazilian rhythms. A consummate and electrifying performer, Quetzal exudes a brilliance that is rare in contemporary music. His sound is inspired by the likes of Sting, Jimi Hendrix, and Santana.
OVEOUS (NY)
OVEOUS embodies brilliant lyricism with a powerful performance. Perhaps his greatest strength is that he was able to turn his brother’s suicide into a global mission for mental healing and positive uplifting of all people he comes across with. He earned a standing ovation on HBO Def Jam and has been a winner multiple times on "Showtime at the Apollo". He also starred in the film SP!T narrated by Rosario Dawson. And his 2009 hit song “Mirror Dance” with Osunlade still rocks the core of your soul on the dancefloor. Currently he just released a new albums titled “KILL YOUR MYTH” a rap music explosion of life, culture, and sound. OVEOUS is a Rapper, Vocalist, & Producer. A writer and recording artist who makes music to help your heart, beat. So Don't miss the beat!
