Originally hailing from Canada by way of Australia, Dean Dixon’s DJ style breathes diversity. He believes there’s great music in every genre and takes much joy in sharing his worldly treasures with the island’s musically astute party crew.
The Jakarta born Seabass has been collecting vinyl since the year 2000 and started to get to know the world of turntables when he took his Masters in Visual Communication in San Francisco around 2008. He finally moved to Bali 4 years ago to teach Motion Graphic and Audio Visual classes at one of the design school on the island. But even then, his passions for vinyl and music were still very strong so when Potato Head offered him a residency, he finally left the teaching world to become the full time DJ that we love.
Stuart started DJing in London in 1990. In 1994, he set up and ran the ‘Pacific Records’ label, which was to become a defining techno and house label of that generation, showcasing artists such as Carl Craig, Charles Webster, Hot Lizard, Ian O’Brien, Mike Dunn and Stacey Pullen.
