On Saturday, March 18th, ‘Heatwave’ is coming to Woobar!

With one of the island’s original party pushers and consisting of disco lovers, flash fixers, and wax junkies that slowly banded together, creating their annual sacrament that is CALYPSO. Spreading their philosophy of island vibe ceremonials through regular parties and get-togethers, they’re focused on creating the perfect texture for communal gathering through dance music, on which they collaborated with local, regional, and international talents. In this context, HEATWAVE! was born with a mission: to heat up the late night sessions of Woobar. Featuring original talents from Jakarta and Bali: Gerhan who’s KOMODO imprint has released a single, titled ‘Music Akamady’, which became an international cult success. Johny Grim, migrant mostly known for doing multimedia installations and DJing for leftfield events on Jakarta venues such as Safehouse, Queenshead, & Fitzroy. And last but far from the least, Seabass; Calypso’s own chieftain. Starts at 10pm – late.
